Successful in the job
As Sr Implant Product Developer, you will be based in Gothenburg and part of Oticon Medical R&D - consisting of 3 development sites; Smørum in Denmark, Gothenburg in Sweden and Vallauris on the French Rivera.
As Sr. Implant Product Developer in Oticon Medical R&D, your focus will be to develop implants and accessories but also to act as Sr. advisor on all mechanical design with regards to manufacturability, robustness and best practice. You will provide leadership in mechanical development methodology, in terms of concept selection, prototyping and also act as a Tech lead in ongoing projects and supervise 1-2 engineers. You will be responsible for communicate and specify specific product requirements that enable product changes that meet the requirements and follow up with acceptance testing.
You will work close with our research functions as well as our marketing and sales departments. You will report to the Head of Implant and transducers based in Gothenburg.
We believe you have skills and qualifications like;
- At least 10 years experience working in development projects
- A detailed understanding of manufacturing processes in fine mechanics
- Experienced working with technical documentation
- Experienced in project management as a tech lead
It is meriting if you have the following experience;
- Experience from designing titanium implant systems, e.g. osseointegrating implants
- An understanding from working with intellectual Property
- Previous experience in using tools such as DOE, Six Sigma and FMEA
- Experience from Electro-mechanical designs
- Experience from working in a medical device company or other regulated industry
In order to succeed in this role you must be able to work in a structural and methodical manner and be precise with details. You are social and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
Oticon Medical is an international company and you therefore need to speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
